Summer Immersion Begins

Part II: Set theory and Logic via Topological Diagrams.

1) Introduction to the progression from Sets to Categories and Topoi. Aim to establish the framework
for anyone interrogating Lacanian analysis and the correspondence with mathematics and logic.

Early registration advised since there are only 6 places. This summer the Immersion will be on Set theory in the structural manner of Lacan and Bourbaki. An original manual(by R.T. Groome)with diagrams (Venn-Euler) will be handed out. This diagrammatic account will be generalized to include knot-diagrams at the end of the course in July. No previous knowledge or technical background will be assumed.  A discount attendance fee is being offered to anyone who cares to function as secretary for the this Summer Immersion. Publication is in the planning stages.
