Beginning with low dimensions – one, two, and three – our goal is to isolate the different traits that define a topology: inside, complement, interior, exterior, open, closed, frontier, etc.. Then we examine a rigorous writing of these traits in an algebra of interior and closure operations (Kuratowski algebra), while examining their use in an axiomatic approach. We conclude with a translation into modal logic – necessary, possible, etc. as they were brought in Lacan's seminar Les non dupes errent. Our introduction supposes no previous technical background, but will proceed first by a diagrammatic method in colors, then conclude to translate this color topology into an algebra. The course will also invite the participants to give a topological presentation of this material in order to assure the coherence of the transmission.
Digital texts provided with course:

2) The Mathematics of Metamathematics, H. Rasiowa and Roman Sikorski
3) The Algebra of Logic, L. Couturat
4) On the Operation A– of Analysis Situs, C. Kuratowski
