DESCRIPTION:• Do you have questions about what Lacanian analysis is and how it works? \n• Are you looking to address a certain suffering or disorientation of desire? \n• Would you like to know more about how the practice of Lacanian analysis at PLACE differs from other analytic associations\, post-Lacanian or otherwise? \n• Do you have questions about the logic and mathematics opened up by Lacan’s work and how this work is being pursued today? \n• Would you like access to carefully selected texts on Lacanian analysis that go beyond the commercialized books and articles flooding the marketplace? \n• Do you know how contemporary Lacanian analysis has established its independence from psychology\, psychotherapy\, and psychiatry? \nPLACE Open House \nYou are invited to join us for a weekly tea at the PLACE library\, where these questions—and others you bring—can be discussed with discretion and attention to each person’s concerns. Before being interrupted by the COVID pandemic\, our tearoom and library had been a tradition since 2006. \nIf you cannot attend in person\, a virtual seat has been arranged so that you can come in via Zoom. \nTo participate is simple: reserve a seat in advance or just drop in by calling\, texting\, or emailing us\, and we will send you the library address\, door\, or Zoom code.
